Privacy Policy

A plain-English summary of what Applyable collects, why it is used, and how your application data is handled.

Last updated: July 2026

What we collect

Your account details (via Clerk), the profile information you enter (experience, education, skills), job descriptions you paste, documents you upload for scanning, and usage events (which features you use, when). If you subscribe, we also store your subscription's status and renewal date.

How we use it

To generate your resumes, cover letters and reports; to score documents; and to improve tailoring based on your own application outcomes. Job descriptions and profile content are sent to Google Gemini solely to generate your documents.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't scrape LinkedIn, and we never store your generated PDFs — they are compiled on demand and discarded.

Who else processes your data

Clerk (sign-in), Supabase (database hosting), Google Gemini (generating your documents), Hunter.io (verifying a recruiter address when you ask for one — it receives the company domain and the recruiter's name, never your resume), and Stripe (payments). Each receives only what its job needs.

Card details

We never see or store your card. Payment details are entered on Stripe's own hosted checkout page and stay with Stripe; we only receive a customer reference, your subscription's status and its renewal date.

Storage

Data lives in Supabase (PostgreSQL) protected by row-level security: only you can read your own rows. Company research and email-pattern lookups are cached in shared tables that contain no personal data.

Deletion

You can delete individual jobs, resumes and scans in-app at any time. To delete your entire account and data, use the in-app feedback form to request removal. Billing records that we're required to keep for tax purposes are retained by Stripe.
